By Joseph Jacob

Any organization needs the best people to operate it. Hiring the best workforce is a challenging task. Hiring managers are the people who need to select the best workers, though recruitment and selection process. However, choosing the best from a number of applicants is a very difficult process. Hiring managers should be capable to find the best one from a pool of candidates, and they need to have the necessary skills in order to do it correctly.

When facing for an interview, the candidate should have the talent to impress the employer and get the job. But it will not work if the employer cannot see the talent. This is bad for both the candidate and the employer. If the employer cannot identify the best candidate, he will lose a good employee. Similarly, the candidate loses a job that he is more capable to do. Hence, having skills to select the best employee is very important for a hiring manager.

Here are some abilities that an excellent interviewer should have.

Successful interaction is one of the key abilities that every interviewer should have. Without efficient interaction, it is difficult to show things to the applicant or get details from him. The whole interview relies on the interaction. Interviewing is all about asking questions and getting answers to find out his suitability to the job. If the interviewer fails to ask questions correctly or he cannot describe the company objectives, he cannot obtain the correct answers or persuade the applicant.

Good interviewers are very watchful about the whole thing. Interviewing people is not always easy. The interviewer should look cautiously at every aspect. He should not rely on the job application and all the details on the application should be examined for their precision. Therefore, interest is a key aspect during job interviews.

Good hiring manager is a good listener. With the ability of asking right questions, he should have the ability of listening to the candidate's response. Most of the hiring managers give their attention only on what they ask and not on what the potential employee says. This is not a good characteristic of a hiring manager.

The first impression is very important for job seekers. It is similarly important for hiring managers as well. Good hiring managers maintain their personality through every aspect. They dress professionally; they keep perfect verbal and non-verbal communication, and they maintain good eye contacts; in order to conduct successful interviews.

Good hiring manager is a person who has above skills and a person who use them to select the best potential employees for their organization.
